Hello! I need some help and I'm embarrassed to be asking this question! I acquired my very first Command Control Accessory; the 6-37821 Smoke Fluid Loader. I use a postwar ZW through an older CAB-1 and Base (it's a pretty simple layout). All my current accessories are postwar and are connected to a seperate transformer.

I'm sure I'm over-complicating this but; how/where do I connect the Smoke Fluid Loader? The instructions state that it is a 2-wire connection (which it is). The instructions also indicate that this accessory is Command Controlled only. Finally, the instructions provide directions on how to "program" the accessory into the CAB-1. Because of these directions; I'm guessing the accessory needs to be connected to the CAB-1 base somehow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I connected the power to the source that has it's U terminal connected to the base. I have Lighting, Accessory, and Track power all with their U terminals connected to the base. Obviously the track power is, but connecting the other sources as well seems to make any TMCC accessories work more reliably.

It will receive the TMCC signal via the track / earth ground signal path like an engine.  You should be able to place it by the rails and then follow the instructions for assigning it an ID on page 5.

Thanks MartyE...this is great information! I was wondering how the accessory was going to receive the commands.

Thanks CJack! Between yours and MartyE responses I think I got it!
