How do you find a electrical short on a tmcc locomotive | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I replaced a traction tire on my tmcc Bnsf 1010 locomotive,the engine was programmed to number 10 on my remote. Afther I replaced the traction tire I put engine back on track and lord a behold I have a short some where when I placed the engine back on track. I check for loose connections and the rollers and check to see if and pinch wires but still shows a short when I place power to track. It is not the board because it work fine before and also the smoke unit is in the off position. My question is how do I troubleshoot it?

I'd start with the truck you replaced the tire on. Drop the truck and inspect the wiring closely. Also check that the power and common leads are not touching where they are connected to the truck.
