I've watched Eric's trains video of how to make a tunnel and mountain which was great. I was wondering if there are any videos on how to make a snow scene?

don't mention the word snow.... 
Well my plan for the layout is splitting it up, I would like to re create old orchard beach Maine, then have a snow scene
There are many, many ways to go about making a snow scene and a lot of good information on these forums (search "snow").

On my permanent Christmas layout (attached photo) I used 2 layers of poly quilt batting (from Wal-Mart) and Department 56 snow..

Bagelman, go on Woodland Scenics web site and click on Videos or How to Videos (not exactly sure how the title reads) either way they have a short video on making winter scenery from snow to ice.
I have used a few of these technics on my winter layout with great results.
