how to update WIU

I cannot get my WIU to connect via Wifi in the MTH setting. So I thought I would try to update but directions say to connect using MTH setting. Is there an alternate way to update it.

The WIU works but only on home setting. Last year it worked fine on MTH setting.

If WIU does not connect in MTH setting is it malfunctioning. It had worked in the past.

Tried to connect with multiple items. IPad, Android, laptop. NG

What do the multiple items say when the connection fails?

It might be best to reset the WIU to factory defaults by holding the RESET button on the WIU for 10 seconds and try to connect again.

EDIT:

If you can connect to the WIU in home mode, it is okay to update the firmware that way as well. I have done it that way without issue.
