This past Sunday I took a trip to the Huckleberry Railroad in Flint Michigan with my son.  We did a lot of train watching and photography.  Rio Grande #464 was out pulling the main train, while the newly rebuilt US #152 was pulling the shop tour train.

#152 has been out of service since 2009 undergoing a major rebuild.  From what I have been told during the shop tour her running gear was 100% rebuilt.  She received a brand new tender tank and cab.  She also had some major boiler and firebox work for her 1472 day inspection.  This was her 1st weekend out running for the public.

While I wasn't able to make it there on Sat for their railfans double header, I did get some great photos and a little bit of video on Sunday.

Thanks, Great photos.   I wish I had heard about his, it is only an hour away from me.   I had no clue it was happening.

They do a very poor job of advertising this.   The place was EMPTY!

I would think of they put out ads in train magazines, train websites, ect they would have had a much better turnout.

That wouldn't help much. They need to advertise LOCALLY, in the local newspapers and magazines. They need to get on local TV news shows. They need to put flyers in local hotels. The need to hire a PR firm to send out press releases to every media outlet available.

Advertising in train magazines will be almost futile.
