I wanted to give a huge shout out to fellow forum member Bruce Treadway for the donation of a pair of Lionel 2243 powered F3 A units for my Autism Awareness project I am working on. They were on the porch when I got home today. I got the trucks painted silver as I think the silver trucks look much better under a F unit and the shells stripped of horns, lenses and windshields. They are packed and going off to Christine Braden for painting and decaling. Pics to come as I get them. Once complete the pair will run on my layout and travel to various shows to make guest apperances on any 3 rail layouts that have Conventional control on them. Both have QSI reverse units and Bruce has them set up to start initialy together, so no worries about one going the wrong way. Thanks again Bruce. Mike
