Finished this up a few weeks ago and finally got around to photos. Wish I had taken before shots especially of the frame front. The frame pilot was gone including half of the area above it. JB weld a new pilot in and after several applications of the JB had enough built up to finish off the push bumper area. The loco is actually a throw together of various parts and pieces had sitting around. Some parts original and some new. The motor and eunit are period and from what I figure are from a 249 thick wheel version so had to space the side rods out a tad more due to the eccentric on the wheel. Went with two green markers in the original period boiler front instead of the normal red and green. The boiler is new repro that was painted satin black so went with all satin black- Rustoleum rattle can and clear coat satinHybrid 261E-1

The tender was a junker 2689WT that I added trim to. Other than the custom made handrail on top, the parts are readily available repro. including the Lionel Lines side tags. I did replace the thin axles/wheels with older period thick axle/wheels to gain a little height since the draw bar needed reworked to draw pin height on the loco. The pick up roller was also replaced with a larger diameter roller to ensure good contact.

Now, some purists out there are gonna cringe but since this wasn't a resto. I wanted to try installing sound and with the help of Todd Wagner and his supplying a 'War Horse' sound system was able to make it fit in the tender. The sound system is fine and pleased with it but highly doubt will do again. I did try to make a video but my techo/phone skills only allowed about 10sec. clip which doesn't do it justice.
