That is the link to the perfect scheme for the Burlington Northern "Modern" Exterior-Braced 50' Box Car.
"Modern" is the MTH and Lionel term, for some reason.

This many items will be very expensive and it will take some time to get all these schemes run on their existing models.

Premier Western Maryland Potomac Class 4-8-4
RailKing Imperial Chesapeake and Ohio Greenbrier 4-8-4
The Railking RS-1 in Washington Terminal and East Washington paint schemes.
Maybe even a premier 2-8-0 in the Chesapeake Beach RW paint scheme. The 64 foot wood coaches and maybe a bobber caboose would look good, too.
More Atlantic Coast Line motive power
Seaboard Coast Line U30, U33C, SD45
Seaboard System SD45
I would vote as well for more Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Coast Line power. It would really be cool to make some SCL relettered of SAL locomotives from the 1967-70 era. I know MTH has made some ACL units lately - GP-7 (using GP-9 body) SW units and the black GP-35. There has been almost nothing that I know of from MTH lettered for SCL in locomotives ( or even Lionel for that matter). These black units lasted well into the 1980s, and some as late as 1992. All I have now is an older Weaver C628 in the SCL scheme. I would really like to see SCL E-8s, GP38-2 and the GP40. These last two were sen everywhere on smaller trains. Would even like to see a Family Lines / Seaboard System SD40-2.
As for Seaboard System, how about an SD50? That was the first big power purchased by them for mainline service during the 1980s.
Just trying to model what I remember during the early - mid 80s in high school.
What if MTH took the Flexicoil trucks from their SW-1500, and put them under its SW1200? They'd have a new model with very little investment. Railroads that used Flexicoil-equipped SW1200s include:Rock Island, New Haven, Illinois Terminal, Conrail, Penn Central, and Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac. They Canadian National also had a similar model: the SW1200RS.

How about the Western Maryland K2 Pacific - 202 is in Hagerstown, MD.
Pullman wood sheathed passenger cars, just prior to the change over to steel - 'Palace' cars I believe). A lot of railroad names could be used on these (but lets start with Reading, WM, D&H, NYC... ...).

Remember the Wisconsin & Southern box car types. MTH has only made one W&S / WSOR 53' Double Plugged Door box car graphic variation.
There were Wisconsin & Southern Exterior-Braced 50' Single-Door Box cars painted in deep blue in the 1990's

If we can include steam engines on this list, I'd sure like to see a USRA Heavy Mikado. Also a modern 10-wheeler, rather than the old timer that Williams came out with. That one is too toy-like. And then, how about a couple of earlier articulated engines. 2-6-6-2 abd the like. some standard designs could be painted in several different road names.
Paul Fischer
SMOOTH SIDE RAIL KING PASSENGER CARS with the more rounded dome shape!!!!
I would love to see some Atlantic Coast lines Steam engines in the Royal Purple Color like Williams did back in the Day.
Specifically a
Scale or Semi Scale Hudson
Scale or Semi Scale Berkshire
or even Throw this over the top with a Northern or a J-Class done in the Purple color and Passenger Cars to go with it.
I know it is a fantasy scheme But I love the look of it
Also MTH Released a Girls set many years ago They might look into a Boys Set as well
would love to get my hands on a boys set due to the fact that I have a Nephew Due here in August.
Here are my Picks
R. Hales - I like the 2-6-6-0. Didn't find a whole lot of info on them and doesn't sound like any of them survived. I'd buy for sure!
Thanks for the sharing.
Jim
A G gauge Allegheny..... and their own G gauge track. I missed getting their G gauge Bigboy and it's in high demand. I would think that the Allegheny would sell out fast.
The track prices are getting out of touch in G gauge. The demand is high and the product is scarce. Go figure.

They don't appear to be doing much in Large Scale anymore, Joe, and it is a shame because the product seems to have been well received by the Large Scale and garden railroading community (I still keep in touch with folks in that segment of the hobby).
I can't imagine they would ever consider their own track line at this point, and I think we're pretty much stuck with what we have in the way of 45mm gauge track. You're absolutely right though; track prices have adversely impacted the garden railroading folks in particular.
Many in the Large Scale community kind of poo-pooed the loss of LGB some years back, but my view is that the LS segment of the hobby, at least in the U.S., has been on a downhill slide ever since. I'm just glad that I built-up and retained a nice stockpile of LS items over the years.
I know it's not prototypical but The GM Aerotrain decorated for The Reading Crusader.
For the intermodal aficianados, a MTH Premier Maxi-Stack III 3-unit articulated well car.

New Haven Pullman Bradley (aka American Flyer) Passenger cars.
New Haven Pullman Bradley (aka American Flyer) Passenger cars.
We can include these for Seaboard Air Line too
I would love for someone to make the 86' high cube auto parts box car. It doesn't matter whok, just as long it's correct. Maybe I need to dig out some of the freight car slides and scan them to the site.
Some more Southern, N & W, SCL, and Clinchfield would be very nice especially Southern pulpwood racks.
Great minds think alike.
The auto parts cars come up from time to time on the forums. Hopefully and possibly the manufactures read these forums.
One thing for sure, the auto parts car question will come up at Norfolk.

The only place I've seen the caboose is the OMI brass version. These are pretty hard to find these days. I'd go for this caboose big time if someone did a good job with it.
Proto-2000 did exactly this with the engines in HO and you could also find them in N. I would love a PS-3 version of these but I'd like MTH to take into account that the Ann Arbor ran them like in the picture so no "dummy" front couplers.
Mr. Hales: Of course, I'd be interested in the Denver and Salt Lake/D&RGW 2-6-6-0's,
too, but have little hope of those materializing in three rail. Ring me up for a D&SL
version with the brakemans' box on the tender.
Texas and Pacific 600 class 2-10-4 #610. It seems to me like a lot of people would want this engine to run on their steam-diesel transition layouts or in its later excursion train reincarnation. For me, I would re-paint it into its American Freedom Train colors. Ron
