I love Boston and have traveled most of the East Coast, but! I am a westerner and one of the items most folks leave off of their suggestions is TRAVEL time. Nothing is close together in the west. I have no idea how much time you are planning for the trip but pick your absolutewant to do places and add at least a full day to each stop. You need to plan 'recover' time from each stop also. The adrenaline flows, the anxiety flows, the surroundings are unfamiliar so the sleep does NOT flow! Allow time to recharge your batteries. Sounds like a great trip! Have fun. Russ
Mike CT posted:This picture is taken from a view that is very close to a place along Hermitt's Rest Road called the Abyss. A straight down view 3000 ft to the Tonto Trail plateau. Handrails are optional at the GC. You got another 2000 ft to the river level/pictured.
If you are going to use photos of mine, please properly attribute them to me, as you did in your previous post. Thank you. (I have added watermarks to the photos in the original post and will try to do so for all future photos.)
My wife and I took this trip in June 2011, Amtrak was great. The suggestion to stay in Chicago for a night is a good idea, it will give you a chance to stretch your legs and get a little exercise. The accommodations and food were excellent. I'm sure this will be a trip you'll enjoy, I know we did. Pokey493
