I think I fried one side of my Z4000.....turned on no power...and no buzz like it does when there is a short....other throttle works....switched the AIU inputs after switch the track that had no power had power...so obviously the problem is the throttle on the Z...

any options I have or is the one throttle dead?

As Matt mentioned above, there are 4 small, white circuit breakers on the Z4000, one for each handle and one each for the 10 volt and 14 volt outputs. These are in addition to the electronic circuit breakers for the handles.

They are located 2 on each side of the Z4000, near the bottom of the transformer. When they trip, they must be manually reset. Most likely, one of the two on the side of the "dead" handle has tripped.

if the potentiometer is bad you will see a voltage fluctuation on your volt ohm meter while moving the throttle on that side and voltage may be erratic look to see that voltage move slowly as you move the throttle slowly.  you can compare it to the good working side.

p.s. if the potentiometer is bad only an mth asc tech can repair them or send it back to mth directly!
