this is a fun and good eye appeal accessory but every new  operator turns the coal dump feature into a coal catapult by toggling, an extra time. Of course there is a lot of mess for a standard dump too. Has anyone designed a baffle or circuit modification to tame this process down?  There is not much clearance below since my switchers must pass through for some operations. The current leading idea is a clear baffle across the two back legs, but that has a ton of complications to make it stand off so the red tray can pass. Ideas welcomed.

I don't have a picture of it, but when I was young - my grandfather cut out and painted an aluminum pie plate flat black. Then we cut and shaped/bent the foil into something that looked like it belonged there (more or less) It took some trial and error,  but it still allowed decent visibility of the operation and kept much more of the coal landing in the car. we also applied labelle oil to the dumper pins and along the rails the scoop slides on.

good luck
