It was called Flex-I-Track, by Parfait Products of Chicago. Horribly noisy stuff. Late 30's.
Its called Flexi-i-Track.
It comes in two lengths; 6 feet and 9 (?) feet I think.
and it is bendable
I have never used the examples I have, nor have I heard of anyone using it. It looks like it would give a very rough ride.
This is what it cost originally

I had accumulated a bit of it, including the viaduct they sold. Myself and another TCA member that had some set up a large loop at a meet once. Wish I had a video. Their switches were also quite unique. They were reversible. Left hand on one side, flip it over and it became a right side switch.

Here is a similar product from the 50s....
Toy Trains Magazine, August 1952.
Anyone know anything about Bob Peare Engineering Corp.....in NJ......his ads are all over Toy Trains Magazine......he made his own 3 rail switches, too.

I saw two long pieces of that Flexitrack in a box lot at a garage sale last weekend. Unfortunately the sellers wanted a bit too much.
