While reseaching Lionel pickle cars, since I had seen that Lionel made three-rail vat cars, I discovered there were at least TWO Lionel cars, #6475, and #9128,  (any other Lionel cars, and K-Line or other three rail VAT cars?).  I found a reasonable one in a local show, but on the net I have seen some wild and hilarious pricing, which led to the above questions, and a curiosity as to whether anything physical was different about the two (or more??) Lionel cars, other than number stamped thereon?  (were all from same mold?)

(there are a number of Heinz and Vlasic reefers, etc, that are not VAT cars)

Lionel made many vat cars. Postwar include Hinez and a Libby's Pineapple. A aftermarket postwar version has a Green Hinez label applied to the vats. Many MPC and LTI versions. Libby's, Mogan David, Budwieser, Play-Doh, Tru-Value paint and several more. K-line made both open and closed vat cars too. Lionel and MTH have both made late 1800's vat cars also.
