And it sure works good, just like on a real railroad!

Now I'll have to install the ground throw, after drilling a #55 hole in the throw bar.

My turnout won't take me to a siding, just a dead-end spur where I can park one of my two locos, with spur power shut off by a toggle switch wired across an insulated gap at the turnout exit and installed underneath the layout.

I'll install another turnout the same way for storing my other loco, thus allowing independent placement of either loco in storage or active service.

(The consist will stand on the main line.)

That's all.....

Elementary, my dear Hot Water!

The Dial Caliper is for measuring the diameter of the actuating pin of the Ground Throw, which is 0.051".

Thus, I am able to select the proper drill bit (#55) for the turnout throw bar.

Thanks for asking!

THANKS, MATT!

I knew I could do it too!

I built my first crystal set 63 years ago, I built many Tesla Coils over the years, but the latest ones were too dangerous, so I switched to High Voltage Electrostatic Generators instead.

I built a motorbike from an old lawnmower engine, built a 1.16-million-volt Van De Graaff Generator of my own design, fabricating the parts in my garage machine shop.

I built a 300,000-volt rotating-disc Electrostatic Generator, a Laser Rifle and a Potato Cannon, and other science and physics-related projects.

I spent 36 years in Aerospace Engineering Labs running tests and developing antennas for Military and Commercial aircraft Communications, Navigation, and Weapons Control systems. (Boeing has thanked me by depositing pension checks in my account every month for 16 years so far.)

I have a First Class FCC Radiotelephone License, and I was also a Ham (N6CEY), but gave it up out of boredom.

BUT...this is my first turnout!
