Installing a gyra-lite in a MTH Imperial GS-4 and F-3's

I'm sure someone has done this so I am asking the question. What kit or parts did you use and how long did it take to do it. Sp used this safety item on many locomotives and I would like to install it on my engines. I know there are kits from various mfg. but I want a hands on opinion as to what works best.
