Installing My First Ground Throw | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello,

To commemorate my first Turnout installation, I am posting my first Ground Throw installation.

It was simple and straightforward, requiring only the selection of the proper drill bit sizes. (See picture)

I used threaded machine screws, with nuts and washers, for attaching the throw to my 1/2" sub-roofing base board.

The ground throw was a bit stiff at first, but the application of a bit of Vaseline made it smooth!

Big mistake Hal. Left hand switches need left hand drill bits. Sheesh! Rookie mistake.
