Some of our club members' Lionel SD70ACE Legacy (2014/2015) engines are experiencing problems on our DCC Layout.  One of our members feels that the Flyerchief system is somehow interfering with the operation of his engine.  It runs fine, then takes off on it own.  When he tries to cycle it, he can't regain control.

I should also add that this happened at the Allentown Train show with the O Scale TMCC layout and HO DCC layout nearby.  In checking with Hennings, they feel it is most likely that signals from the other layouts maybe causing the engines to cycle through the different operating systems.

My question, has anyone had problems operating the SD70ACE Legacy engines on DCC at the same time as a FlyerChief?

Thank you for your help,

Francine

North Penn S Gaugers had a run at Gilbertsville yesterday and there were no problems.  We are beginning to  suspect the problems could have been some bleed over from the O Scale TMCC or HO DCC signals at Allentown.

That would account for the engines cycling through, but not acquiring.  We are planning to add connecting ports for DCC to locations around the layout to reacquire, as the signals travel not only through the track, but also through the air, and may be strong enough to confuse the engine system into cycling which system it should use.

Any informed suggestions and comments welcome.
