I have been accumulating data from various sites, in order to populate a database using scraped data from Lionel/MTH/others.

I can open up the link to those who would like to help me clean the data into organized columns and verify data is correct.

Please either send me a message or email with your email if you would be interested in helping.

Here are some screenshots.

Again, the project I am working on is an inventory app aimed towards O gauge collectors like myself and those on this forum.

I have decided to call this app RailYard or RailYard.cc

I have bought a domain as well.

https://www.railyard.cc/

In order to get licenses for the programs/software being used for development, I am also thinking of starting a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds.

Would anyone be interested in donating if I do go this route?

Thanks!

Greg

Database structure is key.  In my personal DB, I also have a set listing.  In the car listing, I include fields to indicate set "membership" for items. Fields for color, features, car type, etc.  Another feature would be lookup tables for fields with limited choices like gauge, min curve, scale, car type, etc. This guarantees consistent searching and sorting.
