You are all invited to have more fun with your Standard Gauge train!

As in past years, the SGMA layout in Milwaukee at Trainfest 2017, November 11th and 12th, will again be open to Standard Gauge operators who want to run their SG Trains on the largest SG layout they may ever get a chance to use.  Believe me when I say there is nothing like watching, hearing, and smelling your SG locomotives as they steam, puff, rattle and race down a long, long SGMA mainline pulling a long Standard Gauge consist of passenger or freight cars.  It's a blast!

So mark November 11th and 12th on your calendar, bring your SG trains to Trainfest 2017 in Milwaukee, and join in the fun!

That does sound like fun ! Wonder if there is an event like yours in the Philadelphia  PA area?

It is a SGMA tradition, that at every train show where SGMA erects one of our a modular layouts to allow fellow Standard Gauge enthusiasts to run their Standard Gauge trains on the SGMA layout.  I don't know at what train shows the East Coast SGMA group is going to attend but in the past several SGMA layouts have been run at train shows in the Philadelphia area.  In fact, before moving to the Midwest I was the SGMA Modulator for a show outside Philly in Oaks, PA and again for a train show in Chantilly, VA near Washington, DC.  I will contact some East Coast SGMA members and ask them to post their show schedule here.

Tomorrow, Friday, November 10th, is layout setup day for SGMA at Trainfest 2017.  This will be SGMA's sixth consecutive year at Trainfest and should be another great one.

If you are coming to the show, please visit SGMA's layout during the show and say "Hi" to all your fellow "tinplaters".  And if you run Standard Gauge, please be sure to bring to the show your favorite SG train in order to experience for yourself the thrill of running it on SGMA's layout.  If you do, you will be able to watch, hear and smell your train as it rumbles and roars down a long length of a SGMA mainline, filling the air with ozone and smoke as it races past you.  IMHO, there is nothing better!

So join us at Trainfest 2017 this coming Saturday or Sunday, November 11-12, in the Expo Center at the Wisconsin State Fair park.  See you there!
