It is spelled "Worcester" not "Worchester" (no H) if you are talking about the city in central MA. 

 

I have not heard about this event this year. As I understand it, this is a very nice event with many structure kit manufacturers there. Seem to recall it was a rather expensive multi-day event with lots to do, but I have never attended one.

The O scale National convention has been an annual event since the 80s I believe, each year it is held in a different city/state, location tends to dictate attendance. The annual Chicago 2 day swap meet is usually the most attended [table holders and attendees] usually a host RR club or association runs the National and it runs several days[many side events and layout tours]

Thanks for this thread. I didn't know the show was going to be in Worcester. I plan to go and do a little railfanning as well.

 

FYI the Lake Shore comes through Worcester (Westbound) aruond 1:00 PM each day. The Eastbound I believe comes through around 7:00PM. The CSX yard has recently been expanded and as noted the Providence and Worcester goes right behind the beautiful Union Station.
