My layout constructed in 2011 uses 5 TIU's all in super mode and all TIU channels set to Fixed and operated with DCS 4.2. Everything operated properly until I loaded the new DCS 4.3 in all 5 TIU's and Remotes, immediately the following problem manifested: Any PS2 engine (All my engines were PS2's then) would be completely operable in all respects until it left the block in which it started up and suddenly I could no longer control it - couldn't change speed, operate whistle or bell, or stop it with the "DIR" button. I had to very quickly either grab it off the track or hit the "E-Stop" button. I was not able (because of the condition) to determine if the problem occurred on blocks connected to separate TIU's or another channel on the same TIU. The solution was to reload DCS 4.2 which worked. I tried reloading DCS 4.3 several times but each time had to go back to DCS 4.2. which I am still using.
A call to MTH technical then only got a response that there was no problem with DCS 4.3. When DCS 5.0 came out I again called MTH technical and asked if DCS 5.0 would correct my problem based on the representation that 5.0 "Corrected Super TIU DCS Signaling issue". I was told that the only issue corrected concerned lashup problems and not my problem.
Can anyone advise me about to this problem and any possibility that DCS 5.0 will correct it?
