under-slung bridge what is the difference if the load is on the top chord or the bottom chord??
of course you can't easily have tall boats on the river beneath!
You can use it either way. Myself, I like it the way is is shown on ebay.
Looks like it is upside down; it is a thru-truss bridge. There should be a pair of parallel I-beams that the ties should rest on. They should rest on cross beams that transfer the load to the truss. If you look closely, there are cross members on the "top".

It's upside-down.
A deck truss bridge has cross bracing between the trusses, the model does not:

Yes, the bridge as shown in the Ebay illustration is upside down.
The longitudinal beams where the ties would be supported are on the underside of the "top" of the bridge as it is shown.

Thanks Rich,
I thought the longitudinal beams were on the “downside”

Also, the bearings go down, not up...
Looks like someone just can"t leave a can of worms unopened! Thanks LLKJR, Scott.
Read the "application" in the Ebay listing. Information contained will preempt all subsequent posts.
FITS better in the photo; yes it is unside-down!!

He has others "right side up"
Is it worth $ 799.00?

Been watching the bridge auctions and can’t explain this. Bridge has no bids at list price of $399 and he relists the sam bridge for $499???
Larry
Bridge in original post is, I think, listed at $799 because it is actually two bridges. If you look at the seller's other listings, single bridges range from $449 to $599, depending on length, I believe.

Sometimes when prices are too low, people think there is something wrong with the item, and won't buy.
Or maybe the seller thought his lower price would result in a quick sale, and now that it hasn't sold he is going to hold out for more.
