Has the process changed for loading photos in a thread.  Tried loading a photo and a different menu comes up...  After trying several times, I copied and pasted the photo.  Problem with that method the photo disappears after a short period of time.

Anyone else having this problem"?

When someone comments about your posted photos, they show up as icons only. Never had this issue a few years back.

Maybe its because I reduce the meg size prior to posting the originals???

Know one seems to look into this since it started?

As for duplication, posters don't know they can CUT photos while commenting about other peoples posts.

I generally cut out most of them and leave just one on my reply.

Re endless repeating of photos when commenting on a posting...

I try to remember to eliminate the unnecessary parts of the quotation, including photos.   It's easy.

After starting my reply with "Reply with Quote", I simply click on each photo...and/or the portion of the quote verbiage...irrelevant to my own forthcoming reply and delete it.  Takes about 30 seconds even with a half dozen or more photos.  Cleans up, minimizes my own reply size which I appreciate others doing in quickly reviewing responses.

Of course, if I want to comment on one particular photo in the OP's post, I leave that one.

Also, if I am making a pointed reply/question to something the poster said, I can highlight that portion of their verbiage and change it's font color, embolden it, underline it, etc..

Hotwater has a similar practice that's quite effective.  He will comment directly within and on the copied quotation, often sentence by sentence, point by point.  I like that.

Re the photo question, I agree with GRJ...nothing has changed following his directions.  All good.

I agree.  Very simple to remove text and images not directly related to your reply.  That is my way of operating as well.  You can even resize the photos within your own reply to make it less intrusive.

As far as commenting withing a text box, while yes that does make an effective way to reply, it also makes it impossible to quote the response of those who enter their replies in the quote box.  While not the end of the world there have been times when folks utilized this practice that I would like to reply to their replies and then I have to cut and paste those responses.  Again not a big deal but does have some issues of their own.

...Why did I have wait over a year to find that out. My original guess on this was a software change that happened along the way. Was given a few guessing replies along with no facts.

You got your answer (not a guess) in the fifth post in this thread, where CEO Alan Arnold said this:

Nothing has changed on this end.

I will repeat what he said, NOTHING has changed here with regard to posting photos -NOTHING!

Any time Crowdstack makes a change to the forum software, I get an email from them. The email contains the details of whatever change they made to the software. I went back and reviewed the last year's emails (only a handful)  and there has not been any change related to posting photos here.

Whatever is going on Ted, the issue is not here on the forum. As has been said several times now, nothing has changed here. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. That may fix it.

Here's a screen grab of this posting window as I was writing this post. You can see the "Add Attachments" link at the right. That is what you should use to post a picture here.

I'm not sure what you mean by, "...the 5thn icon above and go right to my files..."
