Actually, very few companies (if any) that have overseas manufacturing have accurate ship dates.  While I agree with John's general assessment for Lionel, current worldwide manufacturing issues and shipping delays make estimating arrival impossible.

Paigetrain has a point yes? Lionel's shipping date are anything but wrong. I remember when Lionel released the logging disconnect cars. The date of release was 10/31/18. I didnt revieced them until the end of December. Cappliot even stated that few oversea manufacturings have accurate shipping dates.

My advice is to not sweat the small stuff, particularly given the overall state of the country and world, in terms of disruptions of normal product production and transportation, death and illness on a scale not seen in over a century.  You're a young person, there will be time for most things in the future.  Patience is a virtue.  Old man lecture over and out .
