Hello Forum Members -- I purchased a new Lionel sensor track, set it up on my layout, and programmed it into my Cab 2 as per the directions that came with the sensor track.  All seemed good except track power would not pass through the sensor track.  The sensor track would not let track power pass through it.

My track power hook up for this section of track was on the left side of the sensor track (looking at the sensor track from the side with the program and record buttons and the lights), and the track on that side of the sensor track was fine.  But no power on the track on the right side of the sensor track.  So power was not passing through the sensor track.

I double and triple checked all track and power connections.  They were all ok.  I briefly got track power to go through the sensor track but when a loco moved over the sensor track, the loco's lights flickered.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?  Am I doing something wrong?  Do I have a bad sensor track?

Any and all comments will be appreciated.  Thank you.

You could also gently squeeze the rails together and obtain a good contact. I use an ohm meter to check each joint in my Fastrack before I put the last joint together, As shown in the video John posted. If your rail pins are dull in apperance, they'll break if you try to bend them. Only the shiny pins can be bent. This is why I like to squeeze the rails slightly.
