@Bill Swatos- Been thinking of getting one of the Lionel Speeders...can they pull any cars at all?  Do they even have couplers?

Thanks

Don

Don- they don't but I've thought about making a small flat car to pull behind mine. An old 4 wheel steam leading truck would be the correct scale wheels I think.

A simple draw bar would connect the two.

She's got no couplers as the prototype did not. She's "one axle" drive, but one of the wheels on the driven axle has a traction tire and the single Mabuchi can motor is the same one as that used in the two-motor K-Line and "Kughn-era" Lionel diesels. I guess you could view her as one truck from a WbB 44- or 70-tonner. In addition, the bridge rectifier looks like it can handle decent current draw. Therefore, she won't have trouble moving a few cars, especially if they're light. I pushed 5 unweighted Weaver boxcars around my flat oval at only about 5V. The plastic coupler knuckles won't scratch the front "bumper," either.

Bob has an interesting suggestion for a "work car" above, too.
