This week on the Free State Junction Railway Ma & Pa SW1, number 70 , is seen here pushing its' caboose back to the caboose track. The day is done for the crew and it's time for them to head over to the local watering hole. Of course young Chucky Findlay, a true train enthusiast who is particularly fond of switchers, has ridden his bike from his house which is located a couple miles outside Patsburg. He still rides that gol dang thing without handle bars too!
Having dropped the caboose .. The crew: conductor Peachy Caldwell, on the back deck and brakeman Herzog West rides the front deck ... engineer Boots Peel is at the throttle are all thirsty for a nice cold brew over at Big Irma's Pub & Grub. They've been working a way freight today with an excessive amount of set outs and pick ups and have earned some relaxation, libation, and idle banter. Of course they all know Chucky as a familiar site along the ROW. Every once in a while, when it's a slow day, Peachy invites Chucky to ride in the cab. Once the cab ride is over o'l Chucky will climb on his bike and pop a couple wheelies for the crew's entertainment! It's quite a site too!! After seeing a couple of Chucky's wheelies Peachy always smiles while shaking his head and says " I'll tell ya what. That gol dang kid is going to run away with the circus some day!"
