IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!  Share your team track photos here!   Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroad operations.  Team tracks are found in remote rural areas, small towns, and large cities.  Almost all kinds of freight cars, some head end passenger equipment, and MOW equipment can be on/off loaded on team tracks.

Last week, on our one year anniversary edition,  Briansilvermustang posted some great photos of teams of horses with their wagons pulled up alongside freight cars on and off loading cargo .... hence the name team track.

Remember all are welcome to post photos of their team track operations here.  The only qualification is that you have a team track. It does not matter if you have an elaborately detailed layout or a simple loop of tinplate track with a siding....  post your photos here!

This week on the Free State Junction Railway in Patsburg, the  B&O way freight has just pulled into town with a SW 9 on the point.  A flat car load of heavy excavation equipment has arrived to help with the retaining wall project down along the river.  Here we see the train arrive, cut off from the rest of the train, push the flat car back onto the team track, the first piece of equipment is off loaded using the ramp.  Click on photos at bottom of post for captions.

Remember to post your photos here and have a wonderfully creative week!!!   Cheers!!!IMG_3185

as the sun sets , a "mainline" Team Track Tuesday develops as a New York Central 0-4-0 stops to get some coal and water....

coal was brought in by truck....

then shoveled in by a back hoe....

turned out to be a busy scene here.....workers hurrying to get her up and going again...

a fire truck has been called in to bring some water...think i here it coming now....

with everything topped off, down the line she goes.....

Hey Patrick, that excavator is awesome! As I scroll thru the shots of it being offloaded, I swear I can hear the squeaks and clanks of the tracks on that excavator. Who made it?

Brian your sunset scene looks so surreal. It gives the scene a very spooky (and very cool) feel.

My team track has gone thru some very heavy lifting recently...

...so it is closed for maintenance. The MofW forces have descended on the scene and are performing some much needed maintenance. So when I get my film developed by the 5 and Dime (this is the 1950's right?), I'll post some pictures. Seriously though, this week has been busier than expected but will post some shots of the Railroads repair efforts next week.

The excavator is made by Corgi.   One of my relatives living in England sent it to me for Christmas during my early years in elementary school.  I only ever used it on my train layouts each Christmas when I was a kid.  It's nice to be able to use now that I'm a much older kid.  Everything on it still works 100 percent!

ALSO - great photos everyone who contributed to this week's TTT!!!!  See you all next week on the TEAM TRACK!  Have a wonderfully creative week!!!1
