I won this boxcar in an online auction.

Does anyone have an idea of who manufactured it?

Because of the poor auction photo I thought it might have been of early 20th century American manufacture,

but when I saw the end I knew it was made in Japan.

Anyone familiar with it?

You'll have to forgive my equally bad photo's, but you can see JAPAN on the end on photo..

I tried getting into the group you suggested, but Neo is doing it's thing...

I liked the boxcar enough to buy it, no matter where it was made & I think it's going to look good beind one of my early W/U cast iron locomotives.

Tha is an interesting locomotive that is in the set.

Now i'll be able to tell folks what the manufacturer & set was.

Don't believe I'll be searching out the rest of the set, the boxcar

will remain an orphan on my layout

Japanese toys certainly have great graphics, don't they? It is certainly a jolt for the uninitiated when they open the box, in a lot of cases.

Mizuno also made the panoramic express set, similar to an Aerotrain design.
