I just finished installing an ERR Cruise M in an Atlas O SD-35.  I noticed a remarkable improvement in the performance, especially in the curves.  Installation was kind of a PITA, however.  Atlas used every millimeter of available space in these units.  The heatsink is mounted from the inside necessitating mounting the Cruise M while the heatsink was still mounted to the chassis.  I had to go to the dictionary a couple of times to come up with new swear words!  Once mounted, the circuit board lines up perfectly with the car body mounting holes, which protrude on the inside of the shell.  As the Cruise M circuit board is slightly wider than the DCDR, it takes some manuvering and prying to get the shell back on the chassis.  (A couple more visits to the dictionary)  The only operational problem I encountered is the marker lights don't work.  Since I was never a big fan of the marker lights, this is a very minor issue.

I'm not complaining about the ERR or Atlas O products.  I believe that they both make some of the best equipment in the hobby.  I just wanted to point out some of the issues that I encountered in this particular installation.  Was it worth the trouble?  ABSOLUTELY!!!

The same can be said of the K-Line B-6 0-6-0. The extra 1/8" length of the Cruise M forced considerable modifications to fit but the results make it well worth the trouble.
