I remember K-line introducing their model of the Long Island Railroad Greenport Scoot in their catalog and although I lived on Long Island I had no desire for a commuter train, even a unique push-pull train with a bar car. Until recently. I wanted something to pull behind my K-Line LIRR F Unit so the search for scoot cars was on. I found an Add-on coach, number 2844, and eventually found the three car set coaches 2842, 2843, and parlor car 2015, the Montauk.
Today I finally got around to adding them to my inventory so I went searching for the set number so I could give each a discreet Item ID #. Checking eBay I came up with two different set numbers so off to Legacy K-Line. Set # K-1219, powered MP15, dummy Alco FA, two coaches and a parlor car. That's it I thought. Good thing there was a picture, coaches 2846 and 2847and Parlor car 2000, the Amagansett. Back to eBay and the other Scoot set # K-1730 and low and behold there are my cars. I never knew K-Line put out two different versions of the Scoot. I looks like they are identical with the excption of the car numbers. Does anyone else know of any other differences?
