hey everyone I have a lionel/k-line sd70 it came with tmcc but it will not run at all in conv. and in comand it runs super slow it talks about a run program switch but i cant find it any idas with whats wrong will help thanks everyone

it will not run in conventional as long as TMCC is hooked up to track. a part number would help to look up engine.
its a 2-11556 it was one of those engines that was k line but shipped in a lionel box i beleve its known as a club engine I know if tmcc is hooked up it wont work conv. but it dont work even when I disconect the tmcc if that helps
There is a lift off section in the top center of the shell. Lift it off and you will find the switches.
You might have to completely remove the shell and look for loose connections to solve the problem.
The reverse switch is also the run/program switch.

you are a life saver Bill I got it to run but it seams like the tmcc signal is dropping out do you have any idea what that could be
The top suspect with the TMCC signal dropping out is antenna issues. Are you SURE the antenna is properly connected?
Next up would be a ground signal issue, many large layouts have to run earth ground wires around the layout to get proper TMCC signal propagation.
