Had an issue with a new B&M #2074 Legacy 4-6-0 steam engine where the engine programmed as it should and ran great, but then it would lose memory and when you went back to run it the next day, it wouldn't respond to a start-up command and needed to be reprogrammed every time you wanted to run it - not fun.

Contacted Lionel service and they gave me an RA and couldn't have been nicer about it. Sent it down on May 9th and was back at my front door on June 16th.

They kept me updated about the repair progress and the engine performs as it should now. This is the first issue I've had with a Lionel product and I'm very satisfied with how they handled it.

I "second the motion" by Marty E.  Unfortunately, a few hobbyists may be too quick to "pull the trigger" and fire off a complaint and may also post it on the OGR FORUM without giving the company an upfront chance to make it right.

Surely Lionel is just as upset when errors happen with products made at factories in China. Also, some problems may occur  during shipping.

Lionel LLC and their foreign manufacturers aren't PERFECT, but I believe they are constantly trying to be "more perfect."
