I’ve got two GP38-2’s PS3’s in a lash up. Both units perform flawless. When I shut them down in lash up, they loose their lash up programming. I am using the WIU. When I go to restart in lash up, both units have to be brought to life independently first then the original lash up name can be chosen in the engine list. These two units are the only ones out of all my others that do this.

when you power off how long do the sounds continue you might have a bad supercap ? sound should stay on for about 7 seconds. if sound stop immediately that's why your loosing your programming lashup

Things are staying on at least that long if not longer. I also did each engine individually and each one started up and shut down as designed. Thing I did noticed I thought was odd was sometimes when power was put to the track, the engines lights would come on before even being brought to life before start up.
If the lights come on before startup, it has started in conventional, and needs to be powered off and then on again. I have that problem a lot with PS3 MUs.
Yep, I have to power off then back up again just as you described, then the already lash up in the list is selected and it’s ready to go. Not sure it’s that big a deal, just quirky pain.
