I’d like to thank everyone who helped celebrate the last train run before dismantling the layout.

What a fun yet sad day.
Beautiful pictures, beautiful model railroad, I suppose this story ends with the idea that the model railroad will be going away and the trains will be finding a new home? I know it’s gotta be hard to let go of a lifetime with toy trains and the memories that go with the fun along the way, building, planning, dreaming, and the fun of running trains with friends and family. I too will be planning for my trains last run in a couple of years and now I’m trying to see what the best way to sell my collection would be. Although I will not have a layout after all is said and done, I have plenty of friends to visit. My wishes for whom this thread is about, have a good life. God Bless. Happy Railroading Everyone
Thanks for everything Steve. I’ll always remember coming up on Friday nights with Bob for pizza and trains. Thanks for the great memories and friendships.
After going to your house to run trains for many years it will be hard to fill in those Friday nights. Your layout and ideas gave me inspiration for my layout and allowed me to learn a lot. You are a good friend. Thanks for a great train run day this afternoon. Walter
Another guy from the northeast heading to SC ???
Sad day......but, good luck in your next endeavor!

So sad to see those shelves empty when they were once filled with locomotives.
Many thanks to Steve (Corsair29) for lunch yesterday and a great time and also many thanks to Steve for all the great times and great memories throughout all the years. Anyone who didn't get a chance to see this layout really missed out on something special.
Even these guys had a great time yesterday:

Steve, thank you for sharing your excellent layout over the years. Now it’s a new chapter and new beginning. Look forward to your new layout and to see what you create.

As a person who moved to SC from Pa ,this is a hard area for O gauge Modelers. My current Layout is garage kept and a lot smaller. We do have a few guys here that are trying to get an O gauge group going but it not easy. If you get into the Myrtle Beach area get in touch. Maybe you can join our group.
Thanks guys! Thanks for the pic Phil. What good is a hobby if you can't share it. I got to meet a bunch of great people and made a lot of good friends through model railroading. Hopfully I can continue in the hobby and fill the empty tracks again wherever I end up.

Steve has mastered the artwork of model railroading. I’m looking forward to the next one just a little longer ride to see it. Best part of this hobby is making friends along these rails and Steve is one of the best.
Definitely the kind of layout I aspire to create one day. Thanks for all the wonderful shares of it over the years and best of luck on your new endeavor! Hope to see a new layout of yours in the not too distant future.
Best of luck in your new home. Such a beautiful layout.
