I recently purchased 2 new Legacy Engines (Veranda and Mohawk) and neither of them auto loaded the Engines info into the Legacy system when they passed over the sensor track like all my other Legacy engines have always done.  I had to manually add them.

The sensor tracks light up when they pass over and trigger all the functions programmed into that track (like whistle or Crew talk).

Is anyone else experiencing this with the latest batch of Legacy engines?  Not sure if it is my LCS system, the base, or the Engines are missing the info in them.

Thanks!

My Veranda loaded fine.  That was the first engine I have bought in 3 years so that is the only one I can comment on.  Make sure that you did not disable the sensor tracka ability to read. From page 26 of the manual.

To Disable Legacy Base updates on ALL SensorTracks
Press CAB buttons ACC, 99, AUX1, 3

To Enable Legacy Base updates on ALL SensorTracks
Press CAB buttons ACC, 99, AUX1, 4

and page 16

Automatic CAB-2/Base Updates (Legacy base required)

The first time a new engine crosses a SensorTrack, you’ll notice that CAB-2 engine
information will update, including the road name, road number locomotive type, and
lighting keypad options. For most layouts, automatically updating the LEGACY Base database
is a desirable feature. However, some clubs may prefer not to automatically load visiting
engine’s info. This can be controlled for all SensorTracks on the layout using your Lionel
hand-held remote.

To disable automatic base updates:
• From your remote, enter ACC, 99, AUX1, 3
• All SensorTracks on the layout will no longer update the Legacy command base when a
compatible locomotive passes.

The base update feature will remain disabled even when the track power is turned off and
then on again.

To turn the automatic base updating feature back on:
• From your remote, enter ACC, 99, AUX1, 4.
• All SensorTracks on the layout will now update the base when a compatible locomotive
passes over it.

I may have had a similar issue with my Legacy Camelback. What info appeared in your remote before you manually added the engines?
