I had no idea Standard Gauge was so big, my loop is 14' x 8' and I might add another 6-8 ' in length. This is fun now I can add my accessories and buildings..
Bigger is better, and Standard Gauge trains are proof of that! However, lurking behind its larger dimensions are larger prices; both for materials for the layout itself and every train, every accessory, and every building placed on it! The bigger footprint for the layout calls for deep pockets. Fortunately, a bigger-scale layout produces larger than life satisfaction.
