The Command Demo Group will be at the Greenberg show in Edison Thanksgiving weekend. We'll have The LCS WiFi module and a couple of SER2's for an original ASC and BPC and a connection to a TIU. We'll also use the App on my I-Pad to throw switches and run trains. I'll also have the Bluetrain app on my phone through the WiFi module.

Stop by and say hi and check it out.

I am curious, If you use the wifi module as an access point, is there anything in place that would prevent people that have the 2 apps from connecting to your layout and controlling things you don't want controlled by others?  If joined to a network, I would think they would need to know your network password information to hijack your layout.  I am sure this won't happen.  Probably not many people out there that have the apps in the first place.

I have both apps and the module and really like how they work.

jpcommons,

Using another Wi-Fi Router\Access point would provide the security. Then, the LCS would be in "join network mode" One would need the Wi-Fi password to get access to the network.

I appears to me that you could join the LCS in access point mode with your phone or iPad. Ok at home, but in a public venue, one could have the layout hi-jacked.
