Legacy 6-82759 SD90Mac NS #7230 engine sound is too low

Here are two vids. The difference doesn’t seem quite as much but #7245 is clearly much louder at idle. Could a previous owner have somehow set the engine noise volume lower but left the other sounds at normal volume? I’ve never heard of that but I’m new to the Legacy features game.😉

Ideas?

Remember most legacy supports Aux1 + volume  to adjust prime mover and background sounds.

Page 16 of manual

When adjusting the overall volume, you'll hear a single bell hit that gets louder or softer
with each volume adjustment. When the volume is at maximum, additional button presses
have no effect and won't play the bell. When adjusting the background sounds (AUX1, then a
volume key) you'll hear the prime mover volume change without a single bell hit

Thanks Vernon! I never thought of that so I’ll check that first thing.

I never adjusted anything and just got #7230 today. I did adjust the volume on the CAB remote and the overall volume changed with the single bell sound accordingly but everything came down and up together. I never thought of the Aux 1 button.

But - I bet you nailed it. I’ll let you know tomorrow!  

I never used the Bluetooth Lionchief App. I only use the Legacy Remote. i’m not sure these units have Bluetooth? It doesn’t say it on the box.

I’m also learning that Aux 1 button adjusts the sound and I just confirmed myself .

Well, THAT was it! The Prime mover volume had been turned WAY down. Thank you guys and especially Vernon. It sounds great  

The OGR gang comes through again! Much appreciated!

And lesson learned. 🤦
