I've installed the LCS WiFi on the layout I am currently building. Now I want to add DCS which I've done in the past and would also like to add a TPC4. Then I realized the power adapter and connection from the Legacy Base to the WiFi module prevents the hook up for the DCS/TUI to the Legacy Base....I'm stumped. Has anyone wired this Frankenstein? My only solution is to either isolate the entire pike between LCS and DCS or run completely separate mainlines.  Does anyone have a better, more elegant solution?

Thanks,

Ed

Page 13 of the lcs mauel show how to do it:

Connecting an MTH® DCS® Track Interface Unit to an LCS SER2
If your layout includes an MTH® DCS® Track Interface Unit, it should be connected to your SER2's DB9 connector. Both the TIU and the cable shown must be purchased from an MTH dealer. Connect the two devices as shown below:
Figure 9. Connecting an MTH® DCS® Track Interface Unit to an LCS SER2

This really only applies if you want to run TMCC engine functions with your DCS remote.  You can hook up the DCS normally, connect all the black outputs of the TIU together and connect the Legacy signal wire to the black outputs(outside rail).  You can then run your DCS engines with the DCS remote and your Legacy engines with the Legacy remote.  That is what I do.  No real reason to connect the serial ports together.  There is also a special MTH cable to connect the TIU to the Legacy base, it should work with a SER2.
