I recently re-inserted the batteries in my Cab-2 after removing them while working on scenery for a few months.  Now, everything turns on, but I can't get power to the track in Command Mode.  Everything works OK in Conventional Mode.  Command Mode was working fine previously.

My system has PH-180s feeding TPC 400s, and the voltage reads 18V at the connection in to the TPCs.  But, the output from the TPCs reads a low 1.4 Volts and will not change after turning on track power with the Boost button and rotating the Red Knob.  Readings on the Cab-2 display appear normal, like they did before the batteries were removed.  The Cab-2 remote connection to the Command Base appears OK (Channel 3) and the Train LEDs on the TPCs blink.  I have checked all connections, and they appear tight.  I have not added anything to the wiring in the interim.  And, yes, I checked the three batteries, and they all read a full 1.5V.

Any suggestions?

You say the CAB 2 controls the track voltage in conventional operation? Doesn't sound like the CAB 2 is at fault. Reset the CAB 2 to operate in command? Reset the max voltage in command? Voltage is restored in command just by pushing boost, rotating the red wheel is not necessary.

Once again, you guys come to the rescue.  The culprit was the maximum voltage setting.  Somehow, I must have re-set the Command voltage to practically zero.  Restoring it to the default setting of 18V did the trick.  It's just another thing to remember in future troubleshooting.  Thanks so much for the help.
