Does anyone have a photo of this gateman?
In the catalog it appears to be a USMC gate guard.
I hope that is what was produced.
I would like to have it on my layout as my late Dad was a USMC Master Sergeant (WWII and Korea).
He introduced me to Lionel and it would be a great way to remember him.

I bought one from Hennings a few weeks ago. It was produced. My dad was a Marine too so I was lucky I got one. (I went in for smoke fluid). I will take a picture in a little bit and post. My dad thought it was pretty cool when he came over on NYD.

After I pinned on Major I was visiting my parents in Jacksonville FL. My Dad and I went to NAS Jax, in my car, with USAF officer ID in the windshield, and the Marine at the gate saluted. Dad told me years later that was the proudest moment of his life. It meant everything to me when he said that. I always run the USMC postwar Alco set from 1958 on his birthday.
