I spoke to Doug Waller from Train Station. It is only TMCC. It just connects to Legacy. There currently is a TMCC software product which works on pcs but it only connects to cab-1 base. I believe it costs about $30. He said the pricing was still an open issue. I hardly take advantage of all the Legacy features. He claimed only "quilling" cannot be done with his product. I agree with the comment on prices in general at the Train Station
I'm glad that's settled. I must have asked them 3-4 times and they kept on saying it was Legacy (which like everyone else I doubted). Doug said his original intention with the app was to develop it to include as part of their layout building service. He then perceived that there was interest in it and is looking to make it available to all.
This software should work fine for TMCC commands through a Legacy remote.

And it is only 30 bucks plus the Android app if you want wireless phone support.
Ron
Its does i have it ...It works
I tried to make that 30 software work when it first came out the developer said he couldn't afford legacy Are you guys saying it works now? Is that the "upgraded" version. Any modifications needed? or just plug it in and away it goes
I use the iPhone WiThrottle ap which also works on the iPad. It connects with the wifi in the house to the Macintosh computer running the railroad. The Mac is running JMRI Panel Pro. I have entered my entire roster of engines and other items using TMCC into the roster area of the JMRI software. The Macintosh connects to the TMCC base station using a Keyspan USB to serial convertor and then to the serial port on the command base. You can select any engine on the iPhone ( I stored mine all by the number on the engine ) and then you have a walk around wireless throttle. I have implimented all of the TMCC commands for everything from crew talk to couplers , etc into JMRI. You can customize the buttons that show up on the iPhone on a per locomotive basis. Since I have TMCC decoders form Lionel, ERR, Dygital Dynamics, and Train America Studios, this really helps. No longer to I have to remember that the Aux 1 + 5 button is crew talk on one decoder and someting else on another. It is displayed in plain english right on the iphone screen. I have not implemented some of the advanced features such as setting a locomotive address or minimun speed, or lash ups. Lionel is keeping LEGACY codes a secret so no one can do those yet. But one of Legacys big selling points was the ability to store your entire roster and I have JMRI doing that.
The Train Station posted a youtube video showing the functions of their new iPad app.
They really need to specify they control Legacy engines in TMCC mode and not Legacy control.
ok to settle things down this app is made by the LCCA and they and lionel have been working together to make this app. Its main features are the following it will let you build a track map and you can touch the switches and the signal will go to legacy and switch the switch this app is geared towards fasttrack and is going to be best used for yard operations there is only going to be some basic features Bell,Horn,Forward,Backward and so on... i had the pleasure to meet one of the developers for the app and he showed me hands on what there idea is going to bring the ipad base is starting to be manufactured now with a hopeful date end of this year early next. It will only be a ipad app still are deciding if that will include the Mini ipad. The base for the ipad broadcasts a wifi signal so you can carry your ipad around sorry no charging feature for the ipad base there are including a hole to fish through your power cord apple wont them put the charger feature on this product. last time i heard.

hope this answers some peoples questions and settles down some of the rumors
Robert, the app this thread was started about and the Lionel app are two different things. The app at the start of the thread is one Train Station built independent of Lionel and is trying to market. You are referring to the Lionel built app that was shown off at York last October.
Not really sure if it was an LCCA app, Jon seemed to be doing it on his own, LCCA just did a review on it. But who knows what goes on behind the secret doors at Jon's laboratory and who exactly is in collaboration with Dr Z
