I was hoping the new catalog might give us one but it appears not. When I came back to the hobby in the 90's I bought the Coastal Freight Service Station Set with the D&H RS3. Still have it and still love the paint scheme. Maybe next year!

Right...there are some RS3 Lion Chief 2.0s in there but no Legacy.

Agree on that Service Station Set.  It is easily one of the best looking sets I have. The colors are amazing when it's put together and running. I may have to get it out this weekend.

I’m in. And I have two in mind that I saw at Reactor B (Manhattans Project) in Hanford Washington. 1376F229-7F31-4968-B7A5-277670398ED0

FYI, those are RS-1's and not RS-3's.  Weaver used to make a nice RS-3, but I'm not sure who got the tooling for that model when Weaver closed.  Lionel got the U.S. tooling and Atlas got the China tooling.  The RS-3 boxes I have say "Assembled in the USA" so that might mean that the body molding was done elsewhere.

The mth rs3 is too flat on the ends. Out of all the 3 rail rs3 made, weaver models was the best! If Lionel hot the RS3 and GP38 tooling, they need to retool and release these excellent scale pieces.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall the MTH Railking scale RS3's tooling originally came from Weaver, along with the SD40-2 and Alco C-630 tooling.  Is that not correct?

From the pictures on this site, the real thing looks fairly close to the shape of the MTH. https://www.american-rails.com/160017.html

Also, the Weaver RS3 is a royal PITA to work on, have you had one apart?  Thanks, but I'll pass on the Weaver, the MTH is close enough for me, better electronics and much easier to live with.
