Legacy Sound Volume

Double check your volume levels via the remote, there are two seperate adjustments. AUX1-1,AUX1-1 etc raises the main volume, AUX1-1,1,1,etc raises the background sounds. The background sounds include the steam chuff or diesel engine sounds, if these are a bit lower sound will seem inadequate.

The sounds are not as loud and it's very disappointing.

I have noticed this as well, although the VL Challenger pretty much makes the comparison unfair.

I too have wondered if there is an aftermarket speaker manufacturer for toy trains like there are for cars.  Are there aftermarket choices?
