How do you set AND remove speed limit with Legacy?  Somehow I get step 195 Speed Limit other times it goes to step 200.

I have a train built with the latest Empire State Express engine and Fruit sound boxcar.  When I push rear coupler button both the tender and freight car coupler operate.  Since the engine is the front unit of the train should it not operate?  How do I get it to not operate when operating as a train?  Thanks Bruce

Have you made sure the type of the reefer is sound freight?  If so, try deleting the train and rebuilding it.  If that didn't work, then delete the train and delete the reefer from the Legacy system and readd it.  Make sure you reassign the ID number to the reefer.

My reefer sometimes fires as well as the back of the locomotive.  Usually a complete power down fixes it for me.

If the Locomotive and freight car are entered correctly in the Legacy system, and the train built correctly, the reefer's coupler should only fire when it's selected via Train link.  Pushing the rear coupler button should only fire the locomotive's coupler.

As for how to set it up, sorry, it's been a long while since I've done it, and my layout isn't is a runnable state so I can't go mess with it again.  Perhaps that's what I need to do this weekend...

The vision line reefer car needs to be added to the Legacy system just like an engine with number id, name, type, sound, etc, using the program/run switch on bottom of the car to set id.  Then you build a train with engine add first, then your reefer id added second, then build the train. Your Legacy system may need to be upgraded to base 1.60; remote 1.61. Although I'm not sure this is required. Here's a link to the VL reefer car manual. As you read, you will see all reefer car commands are in the train link menu.  Hope this helps.

I am running the latest software.  Thanks to this forum I found out how to set eliminate the speed limit.  I deleted the sound reefer and readded it.  Both the Legacy handheld and MTH wifi systems did not fire the tender coupler when the train rear coupler button was pushed.  Now the sound car reefer coupler fires!  In both systems my workaround was to add a nonexistant rear engine, so the sound reefer coupler doe not fire - it now only fires with the train link screen.  Thanks Bruce
