I see the Legacy controller pictured in the American flyer catalog. I'm thinking of ordering it. I'm wondering how the engine could get it's signal from two rail track if the engine gets turned around?

If the signal is applied to the neg rail on my dcs layout and the engine sees the signal, what happens if I physically turn the engine around? Will the engine still work? Do I need a reverse polarity switch in the engine? How do American flyer engines work? Maybe the engine still gets it?

 Thank you for any help.

Engineer Joe,
I am an A F guy who uses Legacy and TMCC combined on two rail track. I have no problems running on the two rails in either direction. As previously mentioned the Carl Tuveson site is a lot of help. Carl has pics of his power hookup, take note of the capacitors across the main power feeds to the track. Also if you contact Carl he is very willing to  answer any questions.
