I will do my best to describe the issue. First, it's a brand new Legacy remote that I started using yesterday. The best way to describe this is to use a clock face reference.

Problem: When I turn the wheel clockwise (top of the "L" is at 12:00) it's very smooth until I get about half way basically when the top of the "L" hits the 6:00 mark and then it feels very rough and I can hear faint clicking noises and some very minor resistance until about 11:00 on the dial and then becomes smooth again.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before, it does not seem like this would be normal. Should I return it to my LHS and see what they can do?

Thank you

-Matt

I thought the legacy remote was supposed to have detents /clicking throughout the rotation?

This coincides with speed steps and keeps the knob from drifting which was an issue with the old TMCC remote.

At any rate, the lack of resistance at the beginning of the knob rotation may be the real problem
