Coll layout - it some ways it is arranged like mine, with multiple loops circling around and out again.

I've posted a set of slides on mine before.  Here is on slide that shows the big end of the layout.

When my wife got her IPhone, I played with the panoramic feature of shooting photos.  Here are some of the  results:

PeterA: I love your last picture, particularly the left side.  Far too few people model open country (very well done, too).  I love that type of look. 

the first photo is a conventional shot that does not show the Winter Park Yard to the left.  the second is an iPhone panorama shot that includes the yard, but cuts off the launch facility on the right.  have had iPhones for a while, but this is the first pano shot i have ever attempted.

Here is mine started construction end of July last summer.  Definitely would describe myself in the construction phase although I do have 2 subway lines and 3 main lines working at this time.  Overall size is 19 ft long 12 feet wide and a 4x5 bump out city level.

Peter - Never get tired of seeing pictures of your great layout.  I love the bridge on a diagonal that crosses the aisle.  I agree with Lee about not enough of us model open countryside.  Very nicely done!

Here is an aerial shot of my Dad's and our family layout. This is a few years back. And our new layout is coming soon and is much bigger. Also to make the picture larger, just press on your keyboard the Shift Ctrl & plus button to make the picture larger. The plus button is next to the backspace button.  Tom Sr.

As far as my last posted layout pictures are concerned.......I started that attic layout in winter "92-'93.  By 2000 it was basically wired and by 2002 was fully command-controlled. I was nearly finished track ballasting when we decided to to our current house south of the James.

When I find them, the pics will show 2002 and 2003.....and the take down.

From 2003-2011 there was no layout except an occasional carpet central. I planned to finish the attic in the new house.......but I keep spending the money on items with different roadnames: William & Mary, Villanova, Yale, UVA, NYU, Emory.

In 2009, I became a founding member of a new modular group in central Virginia. This had the benefit of quenching my appetite for a large layout and I redid my huge plans for a 20X30 attic pike.....into a 6X16 basement layout.

This actually is much better. Model railroading became a social event and in the basement, my son's Golden Doodle ,Max, became my train buddy.

Keep these great pictures coming! Most are too amazing for words to describe!

Old layout... now torn down.  Taking possession of new train room (with attached house) this weekend!!!!  This was a 10x10 room so its TIGHT!

I want to participate, but I Can't do an aerial photo of my layout, the Ceiling Central.  The best I can do are a few shots from the underground.   

The photos are in order starting at the right and moving counter clockwise.  It ain't much, but it along with the Patio Pacific will have to do until the daughters move out.  Sorry for all the clutter underneath.  That belongs to the daughters in question. 

The wife and I got tired of setting up and taking down the Christmas scene every year.  She has been collecting Dept. 56 pieces for 20 years and I'd been collecting modern Lionel pieces for about 10 years.  So, 3 years ago we built a permanent layout in the basement and this is what we came up with using available space.

I have all my track down but not all of the tracks are powered up. Here's a few pics of my layout. Need to purchase a airplane so to get some higher shots of the layout.

Peter, nice vintage Kustom amp.  Looks like a bass amp?  What do you have in it speaker wise?  How many watts?

I'm into Fender Bassman amps but I like all vintage amps.

This has to be my favorite thread on this forum for many a year. Posted below are very hurried photos of my layout, that is in two different areas. I saw this thread and hurried down to take these photos with my iphone so the clarity is not the best on the photos.

So Rickc, do you have all of your railroad layout train sounds amplified through your vintage amps? 

(Ex-bassman from long ago. Had a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass with a 1965 (black) Fender Bassman amp when in high school.)

My 4 x 8 layout in my office/den/spare room is as big as I can get it.  It surely doesn't compare with all these, but, that's life.

Hi Vern,  LOL  that would be cool.  I have DJ'd thru it.  2 15 inch speakers at 100 watts.  Not as much as some of todays amps but it is loud enough.  Window rattler for sure.  Right now I have a Fender Sidekick 100 (1 15 inch with 100 watts)with a Schecter bass with onboard active EQ.

"I"ll have to play my cd with train sounds thru it.  That should wake up the neighbors.
