Are these locomotives still using my voice as the voice of the engineer?
This is the first photo I’ve taken of my Lionel Boston & Albany #1401 Berkshire. I gave it a short test run under conventional control and reversed the direction of the hatches on the cab roof, which had been installed backwards… I'm impressed with Lionel's model.

I finished a video looking over the Pere Marquette model. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this run. No pasty gray smokeboxes this time!
There are some small but noteworthy criticisms about it. Mostly with the sounds and certain details.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on who you are), it looks like Rich is no longer at the controls of this run's examples.
Saw a nice Chicago & North Western example at my local shop, but when I learned they have Mr Lionel for the dialogue I decided I could live without it. That and they didn't seem to get the headlights / signal placement right on it. At least when looking at photos of the real one that I've seen. Would've been cool to add to the roster otherwise.
Besides doing some videos of the Polar Express, I was able to borrow a METCA custom run C&O Berkshire so I made a video comparing the two.
